Newstead Open Studios is a membership-based local group, artist-run and now an incorporated association. Membership is currently free.

Newstead Open Studios is a local group of artists. Together we have created our Newstead art trail each year since 2015, linking it to the Castlemaine State Festival or Arts Open, and offering opportunities for our local artists to share and promote their work.

Membership is free and open to all artists who have or intend to participate in our open studio events. Don’t have a studio that you can open to the public? That’s not a barrier to joining! A number of members are out of town or don’t have a studio; the other options are sharing a studio with another member or sharing a booked space in Newstead during the annual art trail event.
